Please be aware that unauthorized third parties may occasionally attempt to impersonate our company through fraudulent emails, invoices, or payment requests.
Scammers collect publicly available information, such as company names, employee/executive names, and customer information, to send convincing messages while pretending to be a representative of Madico. They may use our logo, email signatures, and/or similar looking email addresses to appear legitimate and may claim that Madico has changed its banking information, payment instructions, email address, or account details.
Unfortunately, this is not something that we have control over, so it is extremely important to always exercise caution and verify the authenticity of any communication requesting payments, banking changes, wire transfers, or sensitive account details.
Here is some information and actions that you can employ to protect your company from fraudulent activity:
• Please know that Madico’s payment information has not changed and is listed on our invoices. If you receive any email asking you to send a payment to a different bank, account, or payment method, do not respond and do not submit payment based on that email.
• If a payment request seems suspicious, unexpected, urgent, or inconsistent, please immediately contact your Madico Sales Representative or Madico Accounts Receivable directly by phone.
• Carefully check the sender’s full email address (not just the display name), links, and/or attached documents before opening or responding. Watch for look-alike domains, extra words, hyphens, or unusual extensions.
• Please be assured that we will never request urgent or confidential payment changes without proper verification procedures.
