Exterior impact protection, patented scratch resistance and 99% UV rejection, with quick-shrink technology for faster installs.
ClearPlex NC
Protect the glass. Reject the heat. ClearPlex NC puts the exterior windshield protection of ClearPlex and nano-ceramic solar control in one 4-mil film, so a single install covers rock chips and cabin heat.
One film. Two kinds of protection.
A windshield takes the hits from the road and lets most of the sun's energy into the cabin. ClearPlex NC handles both. The film is applied to the outside of the glass, where the rock chips happen, and its nano-ceramic layer rejects 90% of infrared energy before it reaches the interior.
For your shop, that turns a windshield protection job into a windshield protection and heat rejection job, with one piece of film and one install.
What ClearPlex NC adds to a windshield install
Why ClearPlex NC
All the benefits of ClearPlex, plus
ClearPlex NC keeps what dealers sell ClearPlex on today: impact resistance, the patented scratch-resistant coating, optical clarity and long film life. These are the additions.
Physical and heat protection in one package
Customers who ask for windshield protection and customers who ask for heat rejection are usually two different tickets. ClearPlex NC is one.
- Exterior impact protection against rocks and road debris
- Nano-ceramic solar control with 45% total solar energy rejection
- One film, one install, one conversation at the counter
90% infrared rejection from the outside of the glass
ClearPlex NC rejects 90% of infrared energy without putting any film inside the cabin.
- 90% IR rejection
- 45% total solar energy rejection
- Exterior-applied, so the heat is turned back before it reaches the glass
No slip solution near the dash
Interior windshield tint means spraying solution a few inches from the instrument cluster, the infotainment screen and the wiring behind them. ClearPlex NC goes on outside the glass, so that risk leaves the job along with the work under the dash.
- No solution in the cabin
- No taping off electronics or pulling the dash cover
- Less time inverted under a windshield
The easiest ClearPlex to install
ClearPlex NC shrinks like window tint, wet or dry. If your installers already do tint, they already know how to lay this film.
- Wet or dry shrink
- Handles like automotive tint
- Available up to 72" wide for Teslas, Sprinter vans, RVs and emergency vehicles
Sunroof protection
Panoramic glass roofs take debris strikes and carry the highest sun load on the vehicle. ClearPlex NC covers both the same way it does on a windshield.
- Exterior protection against chips and cracks on glass roofs
- Heat rejection where the sun load is highest
- Same film, same install method
The ClearPlex Standard
Everything ClearPlex is known for is still in the film
Superior impact protection
Absorbs the hits from rocks and road debris that chip and crack bare glass.
Patented scratch-resistant coating
US Patent 8,172,300 B2. Stands up to wiper wear better than TPU films.
Optically clear
Clear film with no visible color, so the windshield looks the way it left the factory.
Long film life
Built not to yellow, bubble, crack or peel.
Rejects over 99% of UV
Helps protect interiors from fading.
4-mil PET construction
The same base film and coating as ClearPlex Contour.
ADAS-equipped vehicles
Follow the ClearPlex NC Installation Guidelines on camera-equipped windshields.
Consumer and commercial vehicles
Passenger cars, Teslas, Sprinter vans, RVs and emergency vehicles.

ClearPlex NC
Product Overview
ClearPlex NC is the nano-ceramic version of ClearPlex, Madico's exterior-applied windshield protection film. It keeps the 4-mil PET construction and patented scratch-resistant coating ClearPlex is known for and adds a nano-ceramic layer that rejects 90% of infrared energy and 45% of total solar energy.
For dealers, that changes what a windshield protection install is worth. The same piece of film now answers two customer requests: keep the glass from chipping, and keep the cabin cooler. It is applied to the outside of the windshield, so there is no slip solution near the dash electronics and no interior film to work around the cluster.
ClearPlex NC shrinks wet or dry and handles like automotive tint. It is available in widths up to 72 inches for Teslas, Sprinter vans, RVs and emergency vehicles. On ADAS-equipped windshields, follow the ClearPlex NC Installation Guidelines.
